Captain America Brave New World Is Bad? More Like Unremarkable

Honestly, I really don’t have much to say about this movie so it would actually be a stretch to say Captain America Brave New World is bad.

If it was bad, I would have a lot to say about it. But I’m grasping for straws here.

Nevertheless, my efforts have not gone completely to waste because I managed to scrape up three things from Captain America Brave New World that created somewhat of an imprint on my mind: the concept of weaponized mind control, the Red Hulk, and the dry characters.

Weaponized Mind Control

I watched a podcast the other day where someone claimed to be a victim of weaponized mind control. A lot of this content can easily be written off as conspiracy theory, a super vivid imagination, or an attention grab.

But when movies like this re-enact these shocking stories and portray them as fiction, it leaves you wondering, does art influence the construction of these conspiracy theories or are these conspiracy theories being intentionally fictionalized by art?

It was just so fascinating how the topic of mind control was at the top of my mind before watching this movie. As soon as I saw the mood in the room shift after a very specific song played, I knew mind-control was in the mix.

The Red Hulk

After the mind-control reveal, the film left us wading in mediocrity until the very end with the “surprise” emergence of a Red Hulk.

Unfortunately, the trailers already gave away the presence of this Hulk, spoiling one of the very few captivating or surprising elements of this film.

Dry Characters

Sam Wilson is meh. His new sidekick, Joaquin Torres, is meh. The only non-meh person is Bucky Barnes and he had two minutes and three and a half lines in the whole film.

Like, how did they so poorly develop these characters even with a full 2 hour runtime?

Captain America Brave New World – Simple Movie Review

I’m out of things to say so I’m going to test run one the Simple Movie Review Generators and simultaneously use it to round out my thoughts on this film:

Prepare to be whisked away into the world of Captain America Brave New World, from the lacking vision mind of director Julius Onah. Set in modern day, this action film follows the journey of Sam Wilson as they embark on a one-note journey.

From the opening scene to the breathtaking finale, Captain America Brave New World captivates audiences with its unremarkable storytelling and unremarkable visuals. Every frame is a work of mediocrity, showcasing the range of talent and creativity that the filmmakers possess.

At its heart, Captain America Brave New World is a tale of mind control, exploring the surface level depths of the human spirit. As n/a delivers a nonexistent performance as n/a, viewers are drawn into a world blandly crafted by their character interpretation.

But it’s not just the performances that are notable in Captain America Brave New World. The pale orange-toned cinematography and unremarkable soundtrack transport the film to new realms, immersing audiences in an experience that warrants the outcome of being maybe watched again.

Throughout the journey, the protagonists breathe life into their characters with mediocre chemistry and depth. Their interactions build upon a(n) unremarkable narrative.

As the story unfolds, audiences are taken on a rollercoaster ride of mind control. From surface level scenes to moments of pale orange mediocrity exemplified, Captain America Brave New World keeps viewers wavering in interest from start to finish.

In the end, Captain America Brave New World is more than just a film; it’s an unexciting experience that will run with you long after the credits roll. Whether you’re a fan of action or simply looking for an non-captivating adventure, Captain America Brave New World is a must-see if you maybe are looking for a good use of your time.

Not perfect, but it will do. And lowkey, I’m probably still putting in even more effort into this review than the creators of this movie put into this film…

In Conclusion…

Captain America Brave New World feels like a flop, has no energy, no appeal. It’s the definition of uninspired cuz here I am struggling to say something about this film.

So yeah…

Check out Thunderbolts though. Thunderbolts resuscitated the Marvel genre after this film sucked the life out of it.

Rating: 4/10
